What we stand for

Equisense is a fully funded (3M€ raised in 2016, as well as two successful Kickstarter campaigns) startup which is currently on track to realize its vision. Our products help riders analyze and improve their equestrian skills and horses’ wellbeing.

Since inception, we have introduced two successful products:

• Equisense Motion – our active device – is a smart training tracker
• Equisense Care – our passive device – is a 24/7 health monitoring system.

Equisense is now entering into the growth phase of the startup lifecycle following our successful product launch.

Our ambition is to put Equisense products and services in every rider’s hands around the world and help them progress while taking care of their horses.

We are about to design social interactions, in-app contents, and gamification right in the app. It will increase the backend complexity. We are hiring a backend developer to face this challenge.

Develop and maintain Equisense Backend

• Extending the data storing and providing a gorgeous API to the mobile developers

Systems and Quality

• You will be in charge of the system administration and hosting

The backend is hosted on Amazon Web Services, leveraging different services for the data storage

• QA

We offer premium user experiences. You will test the backend along its development so that it remains stable once in production

• Data processing

There are algorithms both on the backend, on the sensor itself and on the mobile app. You will work closely with the R&D team to integrate the data-processing on the backend

Academic background: Backend development experience

Professional experience: 2 years +

Specific skills:

• Go
• Deployment
• AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, ECS)
• Docker
• Databases: SQL, MongoDB

Mindset & qualities:

• Rigorous
• Focus on code quality, maintainability without hindering the ability to deliver fast
• Hacker mindset and good coding velocity
